LEESTON.
There was a largo attendance at Leeston stock sale on Friday, and a good entry of all classes oi stock. The yarding of sheep was larger than usual, the entry comprising several lines of ewes with lambs, and fat ewes and vrethers. Fat wethers made 17s 3d to 24s 6d, fat ewes in the wool 16s 9d to 22s 9d, fat ewes shorn 13s 3d to 14s, fat hoggets 19s Gd, and ewes with lambs, all counted, 3s 9d to 13s. There was a numerous entry or both fat'and store pigs. Baconers made 45s to 70s, values varying from 5d to old per lb. Porkers realised 27a 6d to 43s Od, equivalent to ojd per lb. Large stores brought 22s 6d to 355, medium lis to 18s, and weaners from 5s 6d. "Fat cattle sold well. A cow brought £14 iss. A fat steer realised £8 15s, and fat cow £8 os. Springers brought £3 to £9 ss. A lino of 13 dairy cattle ranged up to £10 10s, or an average of £7 8s 6d. Cows in nr'lk brought £3 15s to £7, dry cows £3 5s to £5, yearlings from 47s 6d, a Shorthorn bull £8 15?, two Jersey bulls £6 5s and £7, an Ayrshire bull £o; and cighteen-mouths-, old heifers to £3 15s. '
