HANMER SPRINGS.
Tho cold southerly weather that set in on Thursday night was felt severely. The North Canterbury hills aro covered with enow, and great mortality among lambs is feared. All the hills surrounding Hanmer Springs aro snow-clad. The weather cleared yesterday afternoon, and prospects aro brighter.
