FIRES.
A firo occurred at Shirley on tbo morning of May 25th, the lively' stables of Mr Hugh Kerr being deetroyoa, THo insurances, covering buildings and contents, amounted to £300, and had been effected with the National Insurance Company. A four-roomed cottage situated in Somerset street, Spreydon, owned by Mr Q. C. Smith, was destroyed by fir© on tho night of May 25th. The houso was unoccupied, and the cause or tno outbreak is unknown. Tho .- p . hce " , ££S: suranco Company held a risk or -LIUU on the building.
