The United States does not propose to interrupt legitimate commerce with, the Mexican States that are now in the hands of the rebels, but with a view to preserving American neutrality all trans-frontier shipments will be carefully examined. It is stated officially that Dias refuses to resign the Presidency while tii© country is in tho present state, of unrest. When peace is restored ho will resign. Tho rebels are organised in tho States of Sonora and Chihuahua, under General Madoro's presidency, and are appointing State Governors and establishing garrisons. A state of siege prevails hero, and an attack is expected. Although it is belived no rebels are anywhere in the neighbourhood troops are watching the suburbs. An army of 2000 rebels captured Acapulco on May Bth. Tho small garrison, although aided by the guns of a I Federal cruiser, were overpowered.
