OTTAWA, March 21
Replying to an attack on the Governor-General for his alleged connection with tho Overseas Club, its officials deny that Earl Grey aided in its organisation. He merely expressed sympathy with the scheme. Both Cabinet and Opposition members have joined the club, which is non-political in its scope.
Mr J. S. Ewart, K.C., a leading lawyer in Ottawa, recently attacked the' Governor-General for his activity on behalf of the Overseas Club. He described Earl Grey as a perfervid Imperialist, whoso dearest wish ivas to unite Canada politically and for purposes of Avar with Great Britain.
