Lotter mails close for the following places as under, subject to tho necessary alterations:— Mails per express to Dunedin and South close daily at 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.; lato fee (i.e., letters bearing Id additional stamp). 11.15 a.m.; also mail van up to 8 a.m., and guard's van, 11.55 a.m. train. Books and newspapers, 7 a.m. and 10.10 a.m. FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3. For Dunedin, per Mararna, at 1.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 2 p.m.; guard's van, 2.45 p.m. 1 train. I For Kaikoura, per Wakntu, at 4.15 μ-m.; 1 late fee letters, 4.30 p.m.; guard's van, 5.30 ! p.m. train. For Chatham Islands, per Breeze, at 3 p.m.; lato fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p,m. train. For New South Wales and Queensland (due Sydney February 7th), per Mtuitroa, to connect with Victoria, at 6.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 6.45 p.m.; guard's van, 7.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Westport, per Mararoa, at G. 15 p.m.; late fee letters, 6.45 p.m.; guard's van, 7.40 p-m. train. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 4. For Australian States, etc. (due Melbourne February lltb) and South Africa, per express, to connect with ilarama, at 11 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.15 a.m.; guard's vac, 11.53 a.m. train; parcels, 8 p.m., Friday. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8. For Continent of Europe and United Kingdom, via Monto Video and Teneriffe (due London 34th March), specially addressed correspondence only, per Mararoa, to connect with TuraJtina, at 4.15 p.m.; lato fee letters, 4.30 p.m.; guard's yon. 7.40 p.m. train; parcels, 5 p.m.; books and newspaper*, 5.15 p.m.
Mails from the United States and Canada are due in Christchurch on February 3rd, via San Francisco. Mails for the United States and Canada will lcKvo Christchurch. on Ftbruary 9th, via San Francisco, , and on February 13th, via Vancouver. Mails for the United Kingdom, via Vancouver, despatched from Christchurch on December 19tb, arrived in London on January 23th, five days late, and mails despatched on December 22nd. via Naples, arrived in London on January 29th, one day late. Mails for Australian States, United Kingdom, etc, per Manuka, close at Wellington on 3rd met, at 3 p.m. The next mail from the United Kingdom is due in Chrutchurch on 7th February ac ■follows: —Letters at 8 a.m., via Auckland, newspapers at 5.30 p.m., via Bluff.
