CASUALTIES.
FOUND DROWNED.
Constable Whatman, of Little River, reported to the local police last. evening that the body of a man had been found in a creek at Little River. In Iho pockets wen? papers marked *\A. Hayden," also a letter signed, "Labatt, labour agent, Christchurch," in which it was stated that there was work for the receiver of the letter at Mr Holmes's, Pigeon Bay. There was no money' in the pocke'.e. An inquest will be held at Little River nt 7.30 o'clock to-night.
