AUCKLAND, December 6. At the inquest concerning tlie death of Thomas Albert Thompson, tramway motorman, who was killed on November 29th while in the act of coupling a car, the jury returned a verdict that deceased met his death through one ear bumping into another, and that Motorman Daws had not exercised duo care in carrying out his duty. Daws was subsequently brought before the Magistrate's Court and formally charged with manslaughter,fthe case being adjourned till Friday, and accused released on bail.
