SWIMMING.
The annual meeting of the Addington Ladies' Amateur Swimming and Life-saving Club was held in the Addington school on Monday, December stb, 1910. Mr W. Johnston was in the chair. The election of officers resulted:— Patron, Mrs Bean; president, Miss Shirtcliff; vice-presidents, Mrs H. Allison, Mrs C. D. Morris -urs Anderson, Mrs Bishop, Mrs W. Bowden, Miss Beck, Mrs "W. Johnston. Mrs A Johnston, Mrs Sey, and Mr F. A. Hornibrook; captain, Miss Fabian; secretary, L .McCracken; treasurer, Miss Eadc; committee, Misses D. Johnston, Halliday, Tindell, Forbes, and Mrs Clements. Several new members were elected. Mlbs Fabian was elected life-saving instructor, and W. Johnston donated a gold medal for tho most improved swimmer in the life-saving branch.
