RANGIORA.
There was a limited attendance at the sales. In the stock saleyards there was an entry of 3000 sheep, of which 1500 were fat; 120 cattle, and 120 pips. Prices were:—Fat lambs 14s to 15s 3d, lighter lis Gd to 13s, fat wethers los Gd to IGs Gd. fat ewes 12s to 14s, fat hoggets 12s 6d to 13s 6d, shorn wether hoggets 8s to 10s, ewe hoggets lis to 12s Gd, aged ewes and lambs 7s Gd to 9s, aged ewes unshorn, with lambs, 10s Gd. Fat steers £6 10s to £8 10s. fat cows £5 to £7 15s, yearlings to £2, .calves to 15s, springers £6 to £8, springing heifers £4 10s to £6. Pigs— Baconers 40s to 48s, porkers 25s to 30s, stores 10s to 18s, small pigs 5s to 7s 6d. In the produce yards, prices were:— Heavy halfbred sheepskins to 9s Id, medium 7s 3d, lighter ss, merino skins 3s lOd, lambskins Is Bd, calfskins 3s, wool 9_d, piece wool Gd, crutchings o'Jd, locks 3id, bellies o.d, black wool 4d; fat l.d. Poultry—Roosters 4s pair, hens 2s Gd, geese Gs Gd. chickwheat 3s 3d per bushel, oatc 2s 4d, barley 3s 3d, grass seed. 2s 6d, peas 4s 6d, pea meal [ lis per sack, pigmeal 9s, sharps 3s,
bran ss, potatoes 20s. new potatoes 2d per lb, oatsheaf chaff 85s, straw chaff 425.
