NEW ZEALAND GRAIN IN LONDON.
Our London correspondent, writing on October 28th, says:—"The - New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report that there has been a moderate amount of business passing in cocksfoot, and prices have advanced about 2s per cwt., but at the close, with some holders anxious to sell, this advance has been lost. However, the outlook generally is satisfactory, and no further fall in values for the immediate future is anticipated; 171b seed is quoted at 74s per cwt., ex warehouse, and 72s 6d per cwt., c.i.f. In Australasian wheat for arrival there has been a limited enquiry, and 35s per 4801bs, c.i.f.. was recently accepted for a cargo of South Australian. A few parcels of New Zealand afloat have been dealt in at prices ranging from 31s 3d to 32s per 4801hs, but there is still little demand. Oats are slow of sale, and prices mle in favour of buyers: New Zealand Sparrowbills are quoted at 19s to 21s per 3841b_, and Danish at 15s to 17s per 3201b5. Beans and peas meet with a noor enquiry, at about late rates."
