; 4 The greengrocer's shop and threeroomed dwelling owned by J. Robinson and occupied by Oscar Bouwick, destroyed by fire yesterday morning, was insured for £200 in the Standard office, and the contents in the Ocean for £100. The adjoining house of six Tooms, owned and occupied by W. Hallaway, insured in the State Office for £250 and the contents in the same office for £100, was damaged, the side wall being burned. The contents were injured by hasty removal. On Tuesday afternoon, at 4.22, the Brigade was called to the premises at 10 Eaton place, which are owned and occupied as a store by the New Zealand Express Company. A match had fallen amidst a great deal of rubbish which had accumulated beneath the floor, t>ut the fire was extinguished with buckets of water and hand chemicals.
