NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
A meeting of shearers and woolshed workers will be held in the Trades Hail on Saturday next at 7 p.m. An anniversary congregational social in connection with the Oxford terrace Baptist Church will take 'place this evening at 7.30. The Rev. R. S. Gray will preside, and there will bo a musical programme. Dr. Bradshaw*s lectures on music will commence at Canterbury College on Monday next, May. 30th. "- A lantern talk on the work of tho British and Foreign Bible Society will be given to-night at the V.M.C \ Bishop Julius will preside on the cecal sion.
