NEW PLYMOUTH, May 23. His Excellency tho Governor paid his farewell visit to New Plymouth to-day, arriving by a late afternoon train, accompanied by the Hon.~D. Buddo (Minister of Internal Affairs). He was met at the railway station by the Mayor and members of the Legislature, Bcrough Councillors, and others, the/ school cadets forming a guard of honour. This evening tho Theatre Itoyal was crowded to excess in all parts, wheu_the public tendered a farewell to his Excellency. Short addresses were given by the Mayor (Mr G. Tiseh), the Hons. T. Kelly and Oliver Samuel, M.L.C.'s, and Mr H. Oko-v. M.P. His Excellency suitably replied. HAWERA, May 23. His Excellency the Governor paid his farewell visit this morning. There was a large assembly of military and citizens. The Mayor presented the Governor with an illuminated address, and Lord Plunkct appropriately replied. ELTHAM, May 23. His Excellency tho Governor paid bis farewell visit this forenoon. He was met by the Mayor, councillors, and member for the district, and visited the Salvation Army Boys' Home. STRATFbRD. May 23. The Governor was farewell«d hero today, the Mayor presenting hin with an illuminated address.
