The "Matin" states that while in London the Kaiser, conversing with M. Pichon in a tono of ovident sincerity, developed a theory that the great nations of Europe should, in tho.interests of humanity and civilisation, remain closely united, and co-operate in' forming a powerful peace confederation.

The Kaiser also had a long conversation with Lord Kitchener.
