JACQUES SAILED FOR FALMOUTH.
Yesterday afternoon the French barque Jacques, which had been lying in the' stream since Thursday, hove up her anchor and set sail before the'fresh westerly breeze. ' Ths bip ship made » fine sight as she cleared the Heads, and started on her long 16,000 mile journey to F&'.roouth, where she will receive orders as to her port of discharge. The Jacques cleaTed at the Customs on Sat" urday morning with 27,008 sacks of wheat. It is interesting to note that her total complement, including the , master, is 20. hands. The vessel had an excellent start, as the wirid freshened, considerably during ' the evening, and wdnld probably be blowing , hard when the vessel got clear of the Peninßula. AH going well, the Jacques nbould arrive in the English' Channel about the middle of September. :
