EGG-LAYING COMPETITIONS.
Tho official report of tho Xew Zealand Utility Poultry Club's sixth egglajing competition for the week ending May 19th shows that there were 901 eggs laid during the week, bringing the 2.rand total to 2155. Balch, Belfast (White Leghorns), 29; Mrs R. W. Hawke, Papanui (White Leghorns), 29; Verrall Bros., Swanjianoa (White Leghorns), 28; W. O. Sail. Cust (White Leghorns), 26; Dominion Poultry Plant. Coromandcl (White Leghorns), 26; C. Anketill, Masterton (White Leghorns). 2o; H. M. Bannehr, Christchurch (White Plymouth Rocks). 25; James Thompson, Dunedin (White Leghorns), 25; W. A. Nixon.
