In the Balclutlia Court yesterday, an information against Charles Christie, charging him .with illegally betting in Greenock street, Balclutha, on the occasion of the Mounted Rifles Horse sports was dismissed, Mr Bartholomew S.M., upholding Mr origor's contention that it had not been proved that Greenock street was "within the Borough of Balclutha," as stateel in the information.
