FULLER'S PICTURES

Tho new programme ot Fuller s Pictures given last night at tho Colosseum was an exceedingly good one alike from the quality of the different series, anel the excellence of the subjects selected. There were two whie-h stoexi out very distinctively. These were a lovely series denicting narts oi Switzerland under snow, and nuite the antithesis, tho marvellous rivers ot lava seen in the pictures depicting the eruption ot Mount Ktna. In the former the great pine trerw. with their branches one maKs of silver glittering in tho sun, made a most beautiful effect. The latter was lurid in the extreme, a portion of the series where sreat rivers of lava swept flown, lighted up by mists of flame, recalling M.-cneis in Dante's '•Inferno." "The Falls of the Potomac" was another very charming picture, and in "The Land of Eternal Summer" some beautiful wenery m Java was splendidly depicted, the natural colours of the' foliage, etc., being well brought out. Of the general pictures. "Taming a Husband," in which the elaintv acting of the clever artiste who fi^ure in the American biograph films was a feature, "His Last JJurglarv." in which a most pathetic story is excellently told, and "The Samaritan's Courtship," deserve special mention In the dramatic section, a strongly interesting phase was depicted in "The fori and the Judge." which was noticeable (or some splendid acting on tbf» part of the principals, and "The Man Hi:nt ' was also a very powerful scries. "A Pair of Schemers," in which an old idea is cleverly worked out, and "Tho Ha by Roy and Toddy Bear," were exceltont." The illustration- of ''The Cotton Industry" was also most interesting. To-night tho Colosseum will be closed, as a mark of respect to the late King. To-morrow afternoon there will be a matinee in addition to the usual evening performance, when the new bill will be repeated.
