The Montreal Chamber of Commerce has resolved to request the Government not to consider the proposed reciprocity treaty -with the United States, on tho grounds urged by the Council of tho Montreal Board of Trade, viz., that Canada cannot afford to endanger her growing industries or have her natural resources exploited for the benefit of the United States;
