Jean Sala, a well-known Spanish painter, indignant at a portrait of his being "skied" at the Paris Salon, _.nd having failed to induce the Hanging Committee to return , the picture?, visited the Gallery disguised in a wig and false beard, and fired four bullets from a revolver at the picture. Tho outrage caused a panic, md women rushed the doors. Sala was arrested.
