O'Connor, M.P., in an articio in a weekly newspaper, professes to be unable to see a basis for a compromise. The "Daily News" protests against the Unionist attempts to extract party advantage from tho King's death, and gain time for the House of Lords. It adds that the Liberal policy will not bo altered, though the time-table must inevitably be changed. An* election is most likely to take place, in November.
