SPRINGSTON.

At the annual meeting of the Springston Library, tho outgoiug committee gave a resume of a very successful year's operations, and declared a credit balance of £9 3s. The socretary and librarian, Mr Wall, was voted the sum of three guinea-, and the ladies' librarian, Miss Kime, wa.s voted ono guinea. A very hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr Johnson for his valuable services while acting as chairman for the last three years. The following gentlemen were elected a committee for the ensuing year:—Messrs Jackson (chairman), J. Todd, E. Drury, G. Scarlett, A. Lugg, W. Kiraher, C. Dartnall, R. Wall (secretary).
