ASHLEY.
A concert was given at Ashley school which attracted a largo gathering. The items wero:—Comic ?,cn*_s by Mr R. McDonald; by Mrs R. McDonald and Miss Cbegwin; fling and dances by B. and A. McDonald, Mr E. Collio playing pine-music. The scholars trained by Miss" Kearon, namely, E. and M. Thomas, g«rc recitations, and Lily Cooper and Theresa Ccoper songs. Misses McDonald and Booker played tho piano accompaniments.
