SHIPPING NOTES.

The White Star liner Athenic has finished discharging her inward cargo, and has made a start to load tallow, meat, etc., for London. It is expected that the big steamer will sail to-morrcw or on Friday for Gisborne and Napier. She will probably return to Lytt-elton before going to Wellington to complete loading. The Federal-Houlder-Shire steamer Cornwall was expected to finish loading last night, and will probably sail at daylight this morning for Avonmouth, via Monte Video. The vessel is carrying a full cargo and 33 p-assengors for West of England-ports. Following is a list of the passengers:—For Avonmouth—Sa.oon: Miss A. Stephens, Mr E. D. Wilds. Secondclass: Miss Gibson, Mrs Gibson, Masters Gibson (3), Messrs Gibson (2), -W. Barnes, J. Twaddle, McGuire, J. James, Smith and Doyle. For Liverpool—Saloon: Mrs W. Gribben A. K. Andrews, Messrs M. Cloary, J. E. * Stewart and D. Sheean. Second-class: Miss V. Yon Meyern, Mrs Collett and child, Messrs Collett. Courtney and Elmslie. For Manches- i ter—Saloon: Mr and Mrs J. O. Barnard, j Second-class: Messrs S. Grace and J. G. Waller. For Glasgow—Saloon: Mrs and Miss Collie. Second-class: Mesdames Hcdley and Thompson, Messrs A, Hedley, J. Thompson, C. J. Birnic, and D.
