Letter mails close for the following places as under, subject to tha necessary alterations:— TUESDAY, JULY 6. For Rarotonga and Tahiti, also United States of America, Canada, West Indies, etc.. also Continent of Europe and United Kingdom, via San Francisco ('due London August 13th). per Maori, to connect with Mariposa, at 6.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 6.30 p.m.; guard's van. 7.40 p.m. train; money orders, 4 p.m.: registered articles and parcels. 5 p.m.; books, packets, and newspapers, 5.45 p.m. For Northern Ports and Westport, per Maori, at 615 p.m.; late fee letters, 6.30 p.m.; guard's van. 7.40 p.m. train. WEDNESDAY. JULY 7. For Westport, per Kini, at 11.10 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.25 a.m.; guard's \*an. 12.10 p.m. train. For Greymouth. per Kotuku, at 3 p.m.". late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Westport. per Pateena, at 1.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 4.30 p.m.; guard's van, 5.25 p.m. train. THURSDAY. JULY 8.
For Australian States, etc. (due Sydney Ju'y 13th). India, China, Ceylon, Hong Kong, Straits Settlements. South Africa, etc., also Continent of Europe and United Kingdom, via Naples (due London August 17th). per Maori, to connect with Moana at 6.15 p.m.; late fee letters, 6.30 p.m.; guard's van, 7.40 p.m. train; money orders, 4 p.m.; registered articles, S p.m.; book packets and newspapers, 5.45 p.m.
The next mail from tho United Kingdom, etc.. will arrive in Christchurch to-day, at 5.50 p.m., via Naples. Mails for the United Kingdom, etc.. despatched from Christchurch on May 27th, via San Fraucisco, arrived in London on June 30th. one day early.
Mails for Rarotonga and Tahiti, per Haul roto, close at Auckland- ou July 6th, at 10.45 a.m.
