Our Timoxn correspondent writes:— The local markets are still quiet, but the binder is now husily engaged in all parts of the district, and it is expected that very soon there will be a good quantity of cram. on offer. Some samples of now oats came to hand this week— Algerians. They were of cood quality; and the Dun and Garton oa-te, of which there is a jjood quantity thie year, promiso to turn out welL The prices that are at present offered by merchants are not very satisfactory to growers. Merchants expect to be able to get oa-is for Is 3d jx>r bushel, a-t country stations, and are not disposed to oftf-V more- There is a lot of splendid wheat in the district, and for tihis 3s 6cl per bushel is being offered. Several lines have changed hands at this figure, the sale* being made in advance. New potatoes are worth £4 Ids per ton.
