The Dominion Day celebrations, apart from tho presentation of medals and speeches at the schools, were limited to a volunteer review in "fcho Domain this afternoon, which \ra« a great success. NAPIER. September 26. Kome twelve hundred children assembled at the Marine Parade, where they saluted the flag, and were addressed by the Mayor. Mr J. V. Brown, on the importance of Dominion Day. Dominion Day passed off very quietly. In some of the schools tho chudrea assembled, saluted the flag, and received medals. The volunteer and cadet parade took place in the afternoon. IXVERCARGILL, Septeanlwr 27About 200 citizens attended a banquet given by the Mayor, Mr ScanUrett, last right, in commemoration of Dominion Day. It wae unanimously resolved at ihe outset, on the Mayor's motion, to sond the following telegram to tihe Premier:—'This gathering of representatives of local aiid poiblic bodies* past Mayors, chairmen of social ami industrial organisations, commemorating tho anniversary of Dominion Day, very cordially tender hearty cotngratulations to the- lit. ,Hoh. Sir Joseph Ward, Prime- Miriist-ei* of New Zealand, on the 21st anniversary of his entraiwe. into political life, and sincerely hope 'he may be Spared for niany years to assist in the governiiß'iit of the Dominion, and in the <levolojnnent of its rwpirosf'.ntativo institutions and its natural resources." Later in the evening the Mayor received a reply from the Premijw, conveying liis thanks For ttao greeting, and asking the Mayor to express tho sarao to tiie meeting.

SYDNEY, September 26. The New Zealand Government Agency and the Union Company's offices wore gaily decorated with bunting to-day, in honour of Dominion Day.
