FIRES.
f I—. At 10.15 last night an alarm of fire was given, ax, Lyttelton. The brigade turned out, end!' it was found that a chimney was on fire in the house of Captain Rufct, of the Salvation Army, at the rear of the barracks in London street. The fire was extinguished before any damage .was done. ! (press association tzlzgzam.) I September 24. . .The residence of F. Clark,- Romuera. road, was destroyed by fire last night. The building was insured for £600, and the franituro for £300, both in the South British OfEce.
