BISHOP NELIGAN AND "PAGANISM."
(special to " rat r»Bss. ) AUCKLAND, July 15. Tte following reply has been sent by Mr Bagnall to the letter from Bishop Neligan, which "The Press" published a ,few days ago:— . "Bear Bishop I am in receipt of your letter of May 2oth, and note contents. At my request the editor of the 'New Zealand Herald inserted it in that paper on th« lOtn hist. lam afraid lam not so particular in my connection with the Press as you are, nor can I say that what I said at the interview to which you refer is not correctly reported. 1 think it contains fairly accurately what I said, and mentions that my remarks were made on the assumption that you were correctly reported m the portion of your sermon under review. If it is not so, of course, there is nothing to say. ■ But as you do not say whether it is correct or not. I am content, to leave the matter where it is. With bind regards, yours sincerely, L. J. Bagnall."
