Tho Cheviot stock sale was held on Tuesday, and wae yory dull and dragping. ~ The following prices were obtained :—lB7 wether lambs, 7s 10d; 56 owe lambs, 11s lid; 85 wether lambs, 9s M ; 40 owe- lambs, 10s 5d ; 23 wether lambs, 8s; 90 mixed sexes lambs, 7s; 65 sound-mouth ewes in lamb, 12s; 36 failing mouth -ewes. 3s 6d; 18 butchers' owes, 9s; 38 failing-mouth owes, 10s; 15 owes, 8s; 1 fat cow, £6; 1 steer, £3 10s; 1 three-year steer, £2; weanere and yearlings, 10s to 28s; 1 horee (aged), £2 7s 6d; pigs, weaners, 12s 3d; potatoes, 6s to 8s per bag. After the stock sale Messrs Pyno and Co. held a most successful sale of furniture, sundries, etc., in the Town Hall, on behalf of Mrs Kingsland, who is leaving the district.
