Flour—Th© market is steady and unchanged. London 29s 6d to 30s. Glasgow 30s to 30s 6d. i Sugar—Tho market is quiet. German 9s lOd, first marks lis 7d. Butter—The market is Tory firm. Choicest Australian 116s to 117s, secondary 112s to Ills, choicest New Zealand 118s, in rare instances 120s ! realised, buyers preferring Australian, it being cheaper. The tone of the market is strong, owing to short -supplies amd the newts of hot weather in Austr_lda.. Cheese—The market is firm, -white New Zealand 62s to 03s, coloured 645. THE METAL MARKET. Copper, on the spot £63 7s 6d, three months £63 15a. -Electrolytic £64. Tin on tho spot £124 ss, three months £125 os. Lead £14 7s 6d. Iron 48s 3d. Silver 25|d. WOOL MARKET. At Bradford the wool market is quiet, and is awaitng tho London opening. Common 60'b 25|d, super 26i_. Sheepskins—At the sales 3000 bales •were offered, including 2150 of Aus tralasian. Two-thirds wore sold. Merinos have declined ono farthing to a halfpenny, fine crossbreda, one halfpenny, coarse, three farthings. POULTRY. ...At Saturday's markets there were' good entries of poultry, and keen competition, at slightly easier prices. Hens made Is 6d to 2s 9d, pullets 3s lid to 5s 4d, best roosters os to 7s 3d, (smaller 2s 9_ to 4s 9d, best ducks -5s 3d to 7a 2d. smaller 2s 6d to ss, geese 4a 6d to 7s, all at per pair. Eggs Is to Is 2d per dozen. PIGS. There was a fair entry of pigs at Saturday's markets, and they sold at slightly improved rates. Porkers brought up to 455, stores 15s to 233, and suckers and weaners 9s to 14s. HORSITsALES. At- Tattersall's on Saturday there was an entry of 40 horses, mostly medium and inferior sorts, and there was a poor demand. There was no sale for tho few medium draughts offered, and saddle and harness horses sold at £12 to £18. DARFIELD. At Darfield sale on Friday the yarding was very small, under 300 sheep and lambs coming forward, about hah each fats and stores. There was a very limited attendance, and business by auction was confined to two lots, a lino of 115 aged crossbred ewes 2s Id and a few fat merino ewes 6s 9d. All lambs were withdrawn.
