(Received September 7th. 11.53 p.m.) SYDNEY, September 7. There was keen competition, at tho wool sales. Twelve thousand baled wore catalogued during the week, and 9,800 sold. Prices were on a par with lafib season's opening rates, and at times exceeded them. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company. Ltd., held a grain wale yest-eriLav. The enlos totalled about iOOO sacks grain. Pxioes weire about on a par with the Compajiy'e August salt , , but there was no enquiry tor chaff. Second milling wheat and good whole fowl wheat brought from 3s to 3s 3d, seconds wheat 2.5 9rl to 2s 10d, Canadian and Garton oate 2s Id to 2s 4<], Dun oate 2s 2d to Us 3d, DanLsli oats 2s Id to 2s ljd, potatoes up to £10 i>cr ton.
