MR AUSTEN CHAMBERLAIN'S WEDDING.
The "World" says that immense crowds assembled to witness the marriage of Mr Austen Chamberlain and Miss Ivy Dundas at St. Margaret's, Westminster, on Saturday, July 20th. the rumber of spectators being even more than that at the weddinc of the great heiress Lady Mary Hamilton and the Marquie of Graham. Tho bride wore a wedding drese of white satin veiled with tulle, and embroidered.in diamante rosettee of tulle, and a court train of white brocade. A net veil covered her -wreath of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of white reses and lilies of fche valley. There were eight bridesmaids and two trainbearers. The bridesmaids wore white muslin sEirte painted in a design of La France roses. Over these they wore Directoire eilk coats of different shades, two being in pink, two in mauve, two in blue, and two in green. Ench wore a three-cornered hat to match her coat, and carried a tall Directoire staff mounted with the bridegroom's name in silver, and adorned with a trail of rambler roses tied with silver tissue. In compliment to the bride, sprays of iyy were largely worn, the bridegroom setting the example. Twelve hundred gucete were invitjed to tho wedding, tho reception held by Mrs Dundae after the ceremony at Queen Anne Mansions taking the form of a garden, party. Mauve silk, effectively arranged. with white, and a hat and parasol to match, formed the bride'e travelling drese. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a diamond {iara. The King sent a silver inkstand to the bridegroom, and the Queen a diamond and tunquotee pin to the brido.
