Tito annual meeting of the' Melaneeian Mission will be held in St. Michael's school at' 3.30 p.m. to-day. The annual service will be held at 7.30 p.m. in St. Michael's Church, instead of the Cathedra), as intimated in the various city and suburban pulpits on Sunday last. It was found that the organ in the Cathedral was not available to lead the music of the various parish choirs that will assist in tho tervice, hence the change. \ » A meeting of gentlemen favourable to the establishment of an Amateur Operatic Society will-be held to-night, at eight o'clock, at Mr Russell's office, Hereford street. : Mr Francis Holworthy will give a Shakespearian recital in the Art Gallery this evening, when the play presented will bo "Sir John Falstaff." The annual. meeting of the Canterbury Licensed Victuallers'. Association will be held at Hobbs'a Buildings on Monday, at 3 p.m. On Juno 25th Messrs Guinness and LeCren, Limited, will hold a land sale at their Waimate salerooms, when 610 acres of the Wainono 'Estate will be offered. This estate, which is locally known as"Deep Creek," is within one rule of the Studholme taleyards and creamery, and almost equally convenient to Waimate. Tlie four farms range in area from 109 to 193 acres. Part of the estate has been worked as a dairy farm, and lot 1 contains all the necessary buildings for carry - ing on this industry. . Mr Witty, M.H.R for Riccarton, will address his constituents at Belfast tonight. .
