JAPANESE CONCENTRATING AT WIJU.
A SKIRMISH ON THE POMAKUA. HEAVY RUSSIAN CASUALTIES. LONDON, April 23. The Japanese are concentrating a division north of Wiju.' They have removed the Corean population. The Japanese have collected sections of pontoon bridges opposite the island of Mabitchi, and are preparing boats south of the river Pomakua. Two officers and thirty-two Russians in boats on the Pomakua exchanged shots with the enemy. Three Russian* were killed, and both officers and fifteen men were wounded, twelve severely so.
