FARMERS' UNION.
The animal meeting of the Greenpark branch was held on Friday, Mr J. A. Pannett presided. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Mr J. A. Pannett, chairman; Mr €. Neill, treasurer and secretary; Mr J. Q. Piecken, auditor; committee, Messrs F. Hubbard, E. Yarr, H. A. Kimber, C. Andrew, S. Andrew, T. B. Barnett, H. Eden, D. Hunter, G. McLean, and S. Bennett. Mr J. A. Pannett was appointed a delegate to the annual conference. The subscriptions were fixed at Sβ for farmers and 2s 6d for labourers. It was decided to meet the> last Friday in each month. A sub-committee was appointed to make arrangements for a. tea and concert in. connection with the branch. The annual meeting of the Springston branch of the Farmers' Union wae held on Friday. .The subscription for the ensuing year was fixed at 6s. The following officers were elected:—Chairman, Mr M. F.Ryan; committee, Messrs A.' Farmer, W. Kime, Geo. Mcßean, P. Crump, W. Woods, W. Foster, F. Rowell, J. and F. Andrew, D. McVeigh, J. Sly; secretary and treasurer, Mr Jas. E. Johnson; auditor, Mr W. Kime. Mr M. F. Ryan was appointed a delegate to the annual conference.
