CASUALTIES.
The eldest son of Mr W. Blackett, of North Loburn, was knocked down by a runaway faoree in a dray yesterday, and had his leg broken, and received otfier injuries. • Mr Scott, one of the Committee of the City CounciTe employees' picnic yesterday, at, Kaiapoi, was opening a bottle of lemonade, when the bottk burst- A large piece of glass flying up cut the cartilage of his nose, and inflicted a very severe wound on his face. * ' (nOSS ASSOCIATION ntLEGHAMS.) WELLINGTON, March 4. Beatrice Macfarlane, aged tthree years, residing with her parents on the Thorndon quay, fell into a tub containing boiling eudbi. The child died shortly after her removal to the hospital. DUNEDIN, March 4. The body of a young ■woman, named Sarah Mcuregor, who is supposed to have wandered or walked into t'hu Molyneux River at Banmockburn. Mas found ou one of the beaches between Clyde and Alexandra.
