Accounts ure published showing the amount of the royalties ea<rned in 1902 by the compositions of Ridhard 1 Wagner. The most lucrative of tie operas was "Lohengrin," which was played 997 times in Germany, 420 times in France, Holland, and Italy, and 318 times in England and the United States, and brought in £13,600. Next an popularity oama "Tannliauser," played 268 times in Germany and. 210 times elsewhere, at. a. profit of £7050. "Tho Flying Dutchman" earned £2550, "Die Meistersinger" £3600, "Tristan und Isolde" £700, while the "Walkure," "Rheingold," "Siegfried, , * und "Gotterdammerung" brought in £4400 among them. The total royalties of the year were £30,000, and tills figure does not include the Bayreuth receipts.
