AUCKLAND WOOL SALE.
(press association telegram.) AUCKLAND, February 17. At tho third wool sale 1500 bales were offered. Competition commenced dull, but brightened considerably towards the close. About half the catalogue was passed in. Finer grade w-001, well grown, realised within a halfpenny of lost sales,, but prices were low. Crossbreds in most cases show a decrease of three fartliangs to a penny. The highest price realised for finer wool was 6id. One lot was passed in at Bd. Low grade crossbreds averaged Bellies and pieces sold well.
