LOCAL NOTES
In connection with the Ninth Contingent, Staff-Sergeant-Major Cofeman has been instructed to report himeelf this morning; and it is understood that the firing tests for the men will be proceeded with, immediately. It ie stated that Kaiapcd will furrriab about fifteen candidate* for the Niioth Coo. AppMcante for enrolment for the Ninth Contingent in the Sheffield eub-oentre must attend for medical examination «t the Road Board office, Sheffield, to-day at 2 p.m.
