LONDON, February 1.
General French dispersed Fouche'* commando in the north-east of Cape Colony, capturing twenty-six.
Colonel Driscoll captured seventeen, including Field Cornets Venter and- Grobelaar, at Makawsdrift. Grobelftar eubsequently died from hfe wounds. Monwindt'e commando attacked Colonel Dumanlin'e column at Abraham's Kraal on TueedxLy. A sharp action followed, in which Colonel Dumanlin ihad eight Suaeecre killed and. eeven wounded- The Boere were repulsed with lose.
Colonel Wikon's assa-ilante on the 25th numbered nine hundred.
