A general meeting, ot the Northern Agricultural. Society was held at the Rangiora Hood Board Office yesterday. There was a good attendance." Mr C. Home gave £3 3s. and Mr Euddo a donation towards a 'band stand and po.«. The Mandeville Road Board agreed to the Society having its room rent free on oertain conditions. A committee was appointed to interview the Road Board on th« question of renting the room entirely' for the purpose of the Society. Permission was given Kangiora Rifles to have th'e Show Ground for a camp, and to lend some ropes to the North Canter•bury Mounted Rifles. A vote of thanks, on the motion ol Mr OarmicHiael, seconded by Mr Leggitt, was passed to the judges at the recent show.
