FINANCIAL SESSION.
The financial session was conelud'ed or. Thursday evening with a sacramental service in Duiiham street Church.
The Rev. J. Blight, of Waimate, delivered a soepial address on "Personal Ho-j----ness." Brief addresses were also delivered by tlife Chairman, the Revs. C. H. Laws, D. ludNdcoll, and ilr Dellow, of MayfieM. The Revs. W. Lee, D. HαNicoll, and W. Bauimdber assisted ait tlie administraition. A number of members of the Church joined the Synod in this service.
The general returns were presented during the evening by the Rev. R. J. Murray, .amd Showed, for Canterbury district, the following totals:— Ohurches (2, ministers 27, -nome missionaries 3, local preadhers 131, members 3337, on trill 121, junior members 388, Sunday schools 61, tea-dhers 589, eohokrs 5440, attendants on public worship 16,653. Mr JMLurray suppl«menited the report with an interesting address. The session was closed with prayer by Mr G. Maaiohcsfcer, <and the benediction by Dr. Morley.
