CHARGE OF MURDER AGAINST A DOCTOR.

[PRESS AS9OCIATIOJT TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND, July 8. At the Police Court to-day. Dr.' John Wilkins was charged that he d.d on or about May 17th murder Mary O'Dcwni. wife of the licensee of the Criterion Hotel. Several witnesses were examined as to the movements of the deceased during tire day prior to the illness that culminated , in her death, and as to her condition during iher illness. Dr. Peclive Lowe, who attended the deceased, and Dr. T. Hope Lewis, who held a .post mortem examination on tbe body, •were also examined , , both giving the cause of death as acute blood poisoning, brought on by means of some outside agency. The Court adjourned till to-morrow.
