THE LATE MR W. CHRYSTALL.

If evidence had been needed of tlie deep respect and "esteem in which the late Mr W. Chrystalll was held by all classes of the community, it would dmve been found yesterday afternoon in the large number cf representative citizens who followed his remains to the Addington cemetery. There were over 100 vehicles, many of which contained more tham two persons each. The nearse was almost covered with the large number of wreathe sent by friends and on behalf of public bodies with which the late Mr OlirystalF: had been connected. Included in those present were a number of the employees of Messrs W. Chrystall and Co., members of the Canterbury College Board of Governors, the North Canterbury Board of Education, St. Paul's Young Men's As-, sociation, the V.M.C.A., and employees of the various companies and concerns with which Mr Chrystall had been interested in. A brief service was conducted at:the'residence by the Rev. Dr. Elmslie, who' also conducted the service at the grave. The pall bearers were:—Messrs H. Coraeiiord, W. SnowbaTil ,W. Sherris, W. Greig, C.' Cottrell, J. Abercrombie, H. Dillon, and F. Jone?. I
