THE BYE-ELECTION.
The writ for the bye-election has been istnxed, and the polling day fixed for the 18th instant. The nominations of candidates will close on 11th July, a£ 5 p.m. The polling places appointed are:—Christchurch: OH Provincial Council Chambers (principal); Oatee, Lowry and Co.'s Cycle Factory, Manchester street; St. John's ,j«hoolroom, Madras street; Foresters' Hall, Oxford Terrace; Oddfellows" Hall, Montreal street North,; Foresters' Hall. Vogel street, Richmond; East Christchurcb. Side School, South belt; WesLeyan schoolroom, East belt; et. Michael's scfioel, Durham street. Sydenham: The Mission Hall, Colombo street; Waltham Library, Waltham road j Methodist schoolroom, Durham street. St. Albans: St. Albans Borough Council office, Mutual Improvement HalL Jar A. H. Turnbull will address the electors to-night at the Waltham Library. Mr G. J- Smith addresses the electors at the Foresters' Hall; Yog* street, Richmond, to-night. Mr C. Taylor wall speak this evening at the Druids' Hall, Colombo street.
