(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WFJxLINGTOIN, June 24. The following is the Agent-General's market cablegram, dated 22nd:—"Average prices to_day: Canterbury mutton 3|d, Dunedin and Southland 3gd, North Island 3_d. There is a scarcity of prime quality. Mutton—There has been more of an indiinatioa to purchase mutton during the •past wees:, but there was a dull sale for heavy carcases. New Zealand lamb—Canterbury brand 5Jd, brands other than Canterbury s|d. The lamb market ia very firm. New Zealand hinds 3gd, fores 3£d. The beef market is very dull. The supplies of , American chilLed beef are large. The hemp I market is steady, and there, has been no i change since last week. Cocksfoot.is firm ; buyers are not keen to do business, and are waiting reliable news of the probabCe i return of the American crop."
