FIRES.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION' TEI.F.fJRAIIS.) NAPIER, January 14. A five-roomed house on the Seapoint road, owned by Mr E. Lyndon and occupied by four bachelors, Messrs Robinson, Cronin, Staite, and Severne, was totally destroyed by fire on Saturday night. The building, which was very old, was insured in the South British for"£2so. Mr Robinson was the only one of the occupiers insured, having a line of £50 in the Victoria office. Mr Cronin lost- £10 in notes, in addition to _ : s effects. The cause of the fire is supposed to be the explosion of a kerosene stove. AUCKLAND. January 14. About five o'clock yesterday morning a fire occurred in the residence and batcher's shop of C. Dunster, Coromandel, resulting in the total destruction of the building. The insurance on the burned buildings was £160 in the Magd.burg Company: and on the furniture £100 in the Northern Office. The greater part of the furniture was saved.
