NEW ZEALAND BOWLING A-SOCIATION. IHE ANNUAL TOURNAMENT. Tho first meeting of tho Tournament Committee in connection with the New Zealand Bowling Association was held at the Herelord Hotel on Saturday evening, at 9.30 p.m., —ir it. J. lupin.*., m the emur, and over a hundred bowlers being present. Thirty-seven entries for the rinks were received, and two rounds were drawn, as stated under.
Great interest i 3 evidently manifested in this tournament, and given good weather some tuost interesting and exciting games will bo the result.
The Tournament Committee decided, in consequenco of tho large number of entries, to start at 9 a.m. to-day, and if possible to play inter-club matches at the end of the week.

Two rinks from Wellington were entered, but as they could not arrive in Christchurch till fUesday, the Executive were reluctantly compelled to leave them out. Mr It. T.
